Ed Pavlic

Ed Pavlic is professor of English and director of the MFA/PhD program in Creative Writing at the University of Georgia. His poetry has appeared in such
publications as Indiana Review, Agni, The Cortland Review, Ploughshares, and Jubilat. His previous books of poems are Labors Lost Left Unfinished, and
Paraph of Bone & Other Kinds of Blue, which won the American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Prize. His latest books are Winners Have Yet to be
Announced: A Song for Donny Hathaway and ...but here are small clear refractions. In 2009, Winners Have Yet to be Announced was adapted to the
stage by Black Poetic Ventures, a drama company in Phoenix, Arizona. He has also published a scholarly work, Crossroads Modernism, on African American
literary culture. He lives in Athens, Georgia.
